Experience the scenic beauty of the Chattahoochee River as you paddle from Holcomb Bridge to Riverside Park in the 6th Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival. The race starts at Garrard Landing Park on Holcomb Bridge Road. As you race downstream you will run the exciting Class I-II rapids and enjoy the serenity of the river while passing along the wooded shorelines at Island Ford. Then it’s on to the finish line at Riverside Park. Race fans can cheer on their favorite craft from several locations: Island Ford, Don White Park and Riverside Park.

The entry fee for solo boats is $35 and for tandem boats is $50. Race entries are limited. We strongly suggest registering in advance to ensure admission. On site registration will only be available if capacity is not reached in advance. All registered paddlers will receive a gift bag, a race T-shirt, and a boxed lunch. Your registration also includes a complimentary one year membership with the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.

THE FESTIVAL - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Racers, recreational paddlers, spectators, and families are invited to join us after the race to enjoy the sights and sounds of the festival at Riverside Park. Learn from the many exhibits and displays hosted by a vast array of environmental organizations working to protect and preserve Georgia’s natural places. Spend time sharing stories of your race experience with other participants and join us for the Awards Ceremony at the conclusion of the race.
