UCR’s 2012 T-shirt Design Contest!

Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper wants you to design our official membership T-shirt! The ideal message and design will capture the importance of the Chattahoochee River to our community, and the 3.5 million Georgians who depend on it for drinking water and recreation. Create a one-of-a-kind T-shirt that's fun, hip, out-of-the-box and creative – a T-shirt to be worn by UCR members of all ages!

From Jan. 1-31, all entrees can be submitted for the contest by uploading a jpeg of your design to the “2012 Tee Design Contest” page on Facebook. (CLICK HERE.) From there, invite friends, family, colleagues and neighbors to visit your design and press “like.” The three designs that receive the most “likes” by Jan. 31 will make it to the final round and will be voted on by UCR and a panel of Atlanta celebrity judges who will determine the winner on Feb. 3, 2012. Our judges: Freddy Bensch, Big Kahuna, SweeWater Brewery; Catherine Fox, executive director/editor, ArtsCriticATL.com; Felicia Feaster, visual arts critic; and Emily Kate Boyd, musician.

The winning designer will receive a private cabana for six at the 16th Annual River Revival on May 4 at Park Tavern. It’s our biggest party of the year, and has featured as music acts the members of Collective Soul and Sister Hazel. Winners will get the meet the performing artists, and go home with a few of your winning tees!

CONTEST RULES AND TIPS

Tee designs must convey the mission of the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper – whether having enough drinking water, fishing or kayaking, stopping pollution, or something else…it’s up to you! Make it fun and unique.
Tees must be suitable and appropriate for all ages – 20 to 70. More mature artists: Ask your kids if they dig your design. Younger artists: Ask your grandparents!
Your original design must be limited to the front of the shirt only.
The UCR logo will be placed on the back of the winning T-shirt upon printing.
All tee designs must be tastefully appropriate – any rude or vulgar designs will be removed from Facebook immediately.
UCR shall have the exclusive right to manufacture and sell T-shirts which embody your work. The original artwork is yours, but you may not reproduce the same without our permission.
Any photos posted before Jan. 1 (that’s midnight New Year’s Eve!) will be removed.
